1 (16 ox.) can peach halves
1 (16 oz) can blackberries
4 spoons butter
1 pkg. white cake mix
- In 10-in dutch over pour cans in over; drain half the syrup out.
- Sprinkle the white cake powder on top of fruit.
- Put butter on top; sprinkle some cinnamon.
- Cook for approximately 30 minutes.
Chocolate Cherry Cobbler
2 cans of cherries
2 pkgs. Chocolate cake mix
1 cube butter or margarine or oil
1 spoon cinnamon
½ cup walnuts
5 regular marshmallows
- In 12” Dutch oven pour cherries with the syrup and sprinkle walnuts on top.
- Add cake mix evenly.
- Put on butter after cutting it into cubes.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and put marshmallows around.
- Cover and cook for about 45 minutes or until the cake mix is cooked.
This recipe is great and i used it at my mountain dog desert contest in June 27 2009 and i ran away with the frist place prize.
2 Cups of unsalted butter
1 Roll of filo dough
4 Cups walnunt (crushed)
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tblsp cinnamon
1/2 Cup pistaho (crushed)
4 Cups of sugar syrup
Things you will need to cook this dish
1. 1" to 2" brush for glazing
2. Aluminum foil Heavy Duty
3. Cutting Board
In oreder to make baklava in dutch oven 12" Shalow or Deep, Lay Aluminum foil in oven one sheet cut to cover bottom & walls you will need 2 sheets one from the right to middle of the oven and one from left to middle of the oven if they do not over lap put one more in the middle. You will need to use these sheets latter for pockets to pull out the baklava out.
1- Melt butter in a bowl
2- Brush aluminum foil with melted butter
3- Lay down 2 sheets use cutting board and bring a plate or round pan that fit's in side oven dimensions and cut filo round and lay it in oven, Brush filo in butter cut another sheets and lay down in your dutch oven brush filo untill you leave at least 6 to 8 sheets total
4- Mix walnut with sugar and cinamon lay in oven over filo sheets evenly
5- Lay down agian 2 sheets filo brush with butter and lay down agian 3 layers with a total of 10 to 12 sheets
6- Brush last layer with water and then hevaly with butter
7- Cut all layers as you see in the photo
8- Bake at 350 deagres for about 30 minutes and then add 4 brickets on to increase the heat to 450 deagers to make the top golden brown for 5 to 10 min then remove from heat to cool (Add Sugar Syurp )
How to make Sugar Syurp
3- cups sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup ORANGE BLOSSOM WATER ( MAZAHER)
1 tsp lemon juice
While you are baking or before at any time have the sugar syrup ready.
1- put the sugar and water in small dutch oven or any caserol bringing it to a boil and stir constantly.
2- before you see the syrup tart to form bubbly in about 2 minutes from boiling, pour lemon juice and stir when it starts to boil.
Lift up from heat and add orange blossom water and stir one more time, pour on top of Baklava.
Wait 5- 10 minutes after you pour the syrup on the
Baklava to rest, use the Dutch ove lid as a tray. Lift the Baklava by holding the aluminum foil and transfer on top of lid. Cut all aluminum outside the lid or presentation and serve. Happy Desert.
